Job Description

The ReCompute Manager ensures the Recompute operation exceed Goodwill’s Triple Bottom Line goal towards a sustainable future through recycling and refurbishing electronics to support Goodwill’s sales channels. The Manager is responsible for meeting production goals, sourcing, purchasing equipment and supplies, managing projects and initiatives, developing and conducting training related to operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support and promote Goodwill’s recycling and reuse business by establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with community, city government agencies, businesses, and non-profits.
  • Maximize value of donated goods by focusing on best practice, optimum pricing, and responsible recycling
  • Partner with E-Commerce and Retail team to ensure customer satisfaction in product sourcing, and product quality.
  • Provide training to warehouse personnel in identifying various product classifications according to department guidelines and procedures
  • Provide direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects
  • Ensure compliance of Ewaste/recycling/resource recovery laws, regulations, issues and programs
  • Develop and implement new recycling campaigns, programs and/or promotions as appropriate
  • Meet Recompute revenue financial budget and objectives
  • Monitor financial reports, project revenue, expense cost
  • Plan and schedule project timelines, resource allocation and track deliverables
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment
  • Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
  • Maintain a safe, secure and clean working environment at all time
  • Exceed expectations and goals.
  • Gives special attention to deterring theft and reporting suspicious activity when appropriate.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Participates in all training activities and assignments as directed.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including but not limited to weekends and holidays.
  • Maintain and understand importance of high-security environment
  • Maintains documentation for operation
  • Ensure the safety and destruction of data from donated equipment
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • College Degree or minimum of 3 years supervisory role in a related field
  • Good documentation and communication skills
  • Able to perform mathematical calculations
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize work and be a team player
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
