Job Description

Responsible for performing all receptionist functions.


  • Under close supervision, provides a variety of routine clerical and operational support to various departments, which may include customer service, receptionist duties, utilization of computer software, record keeping and filing; and performs related work as assigned.
  • Receives and screens visitors, answers the telephone, maintains tracking system, refers calls or takes messages, communicates customer’s needs, and provides factual information and customer service in defined areas, regarding Goodwill department activities and functions;
  • Issue visitor passes; and maintain the visitor, staff, student, and participants sign-in logs. Ensure that all staff and guests passing into secured areas display proper identification or visitor passes.
  • Opens, time stamps, sort and distributes mail; files and retrieves material in accordance with specified directions
  • Reviews pre-existing reports for accuracy and data entered and documents results;
  • Operates office equipment such as personal computer, calculator, scanner, fax, printer, copy machine and mail inserting and folding machines;
  • May perform daily opening and closing procedures of the building.
  • Issue keys and maintain the record of company vehicles as well as parking validations.
  • Keep the lobby and reception area neat and clean
  • Responsible for keeping necessary office supplies stocked;
  • Keyboards correspondence, reports, charts, forms and routine documents related to the function of the organization to which assigned from drafts, clear written or oral instructions where applicable, and existing models using a variety of computer software programs;
  • Reserves rooms and makes all related logistical preparations for meetings; Calendar maintenance.
  • Distribution of vouchers
  • Issuing and collecting “exit passes”
  • Upholds and continuously maintains confidentiality
  • Observes safety and security monitors and reports incidents to the Senior Investigator
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Equivalent to graduation from high school and one (1) years of general clerical experience
  • Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software (i.e. MS Office)
  • Respects and has knowledge of cultures, ethnicities, gender, sexual orientations and age groups other than one’s own, able to work effectively with all.
