Job Description

Accountabilities:

  • Prevent internal and external theft
  • Prevent trespass
  • Monitor surveillance footage of retail stores and other locations
  • Provide a safe work environment for employees and vendors
  • Provide a safe environment for donors, visitors and vendors

Responsibilities:

  • Provide security for Goodwill employees
  • Act as first responder to emergencies at assigned locations
  • Act as point of contact for customers and donors
  • Act as evacuation specialist during an emergency/drill
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: (education, work experience, and technical competencies)

  • Current California State Guard Card - preferred
  • At least 4 years of experience as a security guard
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Must be able to work outside during inclement weather
  • High School education or Equivalent preferred.
  • Respects and has knowledge of cultures, ethnicities, gender, sexual orientations and age groups other than one’s own, able to work effectively with all.
